Information for Physicians
PDI Radiology is the only freestanding full-service outpatient diagnostic imaging center in the area that provides subspecialty radiology services for patients of all ages, from newborn on up! PDI is an all-digital facility, with state-of-the-art equipment. Digital PACS and an integrated radiology information system allow rapid report creation and dissemination. Reports are usually faxed to your office on the day of the exam, sometimes within minutes of exam completion.
The PDI team of fellowship-trained radiologists strives to provide concise, accurate and clinically useful reports. We monitor and tailor examinations to maximize their diagnostic utility, and to minimize patient discomfort and radiation exposure. Phone consultations with our clinical colleagues are always welcome.
Referring clinicians have instantaneous Internet access to their patient's images at the completion of the exam via our Clinician Access Portal. Reports and images from prior exams can also be retrieved with the Portal at any time.
Compassionate, high-quality care. Convenient locations. Rapid report turnaround. Low-cost. PDI is a unique resource for the Milwaukee area medical community.
We accept most major insurance plans. Visit the Insurance page for details.
Clinician Access Portal
Our Clinician Access Portal utilizes state of the art information technology to facilitate efficient communication with referring offices, and to optimize the patient’s experience.
The Clinician Access Portal allows you to view your patients’ images and reports. You can easily access this information through the secured Internet site from your office, hospital or home. You and your office staff can easily determine the status of an ordered exam, reducing the need for office staff phone calls. Images are available immediately after completion of the exam. Consultants can sign into the system as well, allowing for efficient access to imaging studies during hospitalizations or visits with specialists. Old studies and reports can also be viewed with the Portal.

Features of the Clinician Access Portal
- Rapid report/image turnaround. Reports and images are available to the referring physician as soon as they are completed.
- Facilitated report/image availability. Reports and images are available wherever they are needed, allowing physicians to see all of the information from the office, the hospital or even from home. Clinicians can view images during phone discussions with radiologists.
- Emergency access. This allows a physician to view reports and images on a patient who is in an emergency department or referred to a specialist. The Portal facilitates ease of collaboration with colleagues. The Portal largely eliminates the need for patients to transport films.
- Improved patient satisfaction. Patients appreciate image and report availability during office visits. Use of the Portal by referring practices helps convey to patients a commitment to the use of modern information technology in provision of care.
- Office staff efficiency. Front desk personnel no longer need to make multiple calls regarding the status of patient exams.
- Eliminates lost reports. Current and prior reports/images are always available via our secure site.
- Reduced costs. Practice costs from phone calls, faxes, deliveries and wasted staff time are reduced through the Portal.
- System administration. A designated "practice administrator" is empowered to manage all user names and passwords for the practice, and make any system adjustments. The administrator also can retrieve patient reports for any physician in the office. Support for the Portal is available from PDI on Monday through Friday from 8 am – 7 pm by calling 414-529-3100. Use of the Portal requires minimal training for administrators; almost no training is required for physicians who are web-savvy. The Portal uses a SSL 128-bit encrypted secure connection through the Internet.
